I have an XFX 9600gt OCed to 800mhz on the gpu, 1000mhz on the memory and 1900 on the shaders and it kicks ass. This card OCs very well and stays cool when i turn all the fans up but will go all unstable if I don't. $120 can't go wrong.

Yes. Overclock the processor a little to about 2.2GHZ and it will no longer be a bottleneck.

i got the 9600gt overclocked but i got a shitty prossecor its a core 2 duo 1.80ghz if i go to 2.40ghz is the performance increase is worth it

Average 8800 GT is better than 9600 GT with 15% but with overclock 9600 GT can have same performante with 8800 GT stock.I have this card and i play Crysis: Warhead on enthuasiast settings 1280&1024 with average 25FPS, with overclock to 735/1825/2075 and with Intel C2D E6400 2.13Ghz CPU + 2GB RAM DDR2Very cheap and expansive :).
