good tutorial! Before I got Dreamweaver and Fireworks I used to make templates with flash or MS Paint and code them with HTML, but this really helps! I made my first dreamweaver template last night ^_^ But also for the CSS files, you don't need to make more than one file for each DI; just add them to the existing CSS file :P

I see, but I prefer to now design in XHTML and try and get off table layouts.
Chitose2007 (July 17, 2008 at 4:17 am)
then again, as i go more into the tutorial, he did make you create a css file to suppose the background so it does implement it.

Its standard html if you followed what he told you to follow. He told you to choose a new HTML file before beginning anything so if you wanted to use XHTML you should have chosen the XHTML option before creating the new file. I don't know if the tutorial would have helped the same, however, if you had chosen that code structure.

u got to be kidding he cant even say align properly? Do all these pages validate in XHTML/CSS or are they just standard HTML 4.0? I am trying to move away from using tables and want to create templates based on XHTML and CSS only.
