apart from the safety standards the rest of the points are valid. They would need to modify the track with sand traps, trye barriers and other run offs in the event a car leaves the track, emergency crews would need quick access at all points of the track and the reality is that F1 cars aren't really made to drive on surfaces like the Nurburgring; the surface is too bumpy and would simply smash the suspension or under carriage of the cars long before the end of the race.
