9/11 happened due to a lack of communication between the CIA and the FBI. Information concerning meetings between operatives planning the 9/11 attacks was not shared between the CIA and FBI and little relevance was given to some of the information gathered. Al Qaeda was relatively unknown and not on the radar as a serious terrorist organization. Had the voice of John O'Neil, an FBI agent killed during 9/11, been heard, 9/11 may never have happened.

This segment of convention verite did not come to my attention until recently.Although I am not familiar with Mr. Olbermann's views and politics, I was stunned by his repudiation of the RNC's use of that so-called tribute piece and spontaneously clapped.Wow ! We have far right commentators too, O'Reilly, Hannity, Limbaugh they are pretty fast and loose with he truth too as well as rude to liberals. Commentators are NEVER fair and balanced, which is why they are commentators. They editorialize, they spin, some more than others. But fair and balanced isn't part of the job discription.

So if you listen for his opinions, and you say you do. Good. It's what you believe and if you believe his opinions than good for you. I personally believe that he is very close minded, and very disrespectful to republican politicians, and anyone who says anything against him. Thats my personal opinion on Keith Olbermann.

But that's the thing. It was his 'objectivity as news anchors' as you said it. He, including Matthews, lost his objectivity and started expressing their opinion on a news item more than actually explaining the news item. But his opinions that he pulls off as facts arent always facts. He tries to display himself as a, sorry to say, 'fair and balanced' commentator when he isn't. He can't just spew opinions he has and try to pull them off as facts or truths. He is a far left commentator.
