With a 354-horsepower version of Audi's direct-injection 4.2-liter V8 under its hood, the voluptuous Audi S5 ran a 13.3-second quarter-mile at 104 mph, just 0.1 second and 2 mph shy of the 420-hp 2007 Audi RS4 sedan. What's more, the S5's slalom speed is within a couple mph of the harsh-riding RS-spec sedan. "It ran a 13.3? Speed-reading the specifications sheets of these two cars, they seem like natural rivals: the 354-hp, all-wheel-drive 2008 Audi S5 measured against the 414-hp, rear-wheel-drive 2008 BMW M3.But as it turns out, we gave the 2008 Audi S5 a bigger challenge than we had initially intended.

I don't even see the point of the 1-series. BMW had a chance to make a cheaper, more accessible car, but no. they had to make a pansy looking version of a 3-series with the same exact engine. if you want a bmw coupe get a used M coupe or M3 for the same price or cheaper.

Hi, I drive the 135i. I have changed the suspension (and that is great improvement! OMG) and have a performance upgrade. All AC Schnitzer. All I can say is that the pureness - simplicety - of the ACS1.35i (her new name lol) is outstanding. I have the basic version, without I-Drive and extra options etc. No, just a small car with great handling and a powerfull engine. I have never driven a better car. But, ofcourse the E46M3 is great to! and the 335i, also wonderful to. But I prefer the 135i!

They probably can't becasue there was an M1 way back in the 80's. Sort of a half assed supercar. Was not great.

This car was a used 2002. It probably had bad rubber, or at least an inferior set of tires when compared to the original magazine numbers of that car.
