True comment from JVendetta11, so why all the thumbs down? Why do Karavan's supporters not like to see his Nazi past pointed out? Is it because they are inwardly ashamed of themselves for revering a Nazi?

Sometimes music affects you on a profound level, where you dont just hear it, you feel it. Try a high quality version of the E.T. music on very high volume speakers. It's awesome

Human beings can listen with their ears, but I ask you, how is it possible that sometimes I can listen with my soul?Thank you Beethoven, for allowing me to listen in ways I never thought possible...

Before pronouncing the popular half truths about Karajan, why not do some research first? You could start with Richard Osborne's scholarly biography of Karajan. Listening to the MUSIC would help too. And by the way Leibowitz's version of the Ninth is shallow, and Furwangler is maddeningly nervous and bombastic compared to Karajan - whom he loathed anyway. Agree about Fricsay though.
