I do race. I've got a civic myself. I won't bore you or anyone else with the mods, but it revs up to 9000 if I want it to, but I usually shift at 8500, otherwise it gradually loses power after that. I know what you mean about keeping it in gear, it helps for the mountain passes in switchbacks etc, but if you watch some other of Keiichi's videos, he always shifts up, rather than revving it higher, but then again he IS a driving god who can heel and toe in about .0000001 seconds

i dun think they rarely do a fair race its always like a highly tuned car vs something that stock

ok so DK slipped the clutch... and therefore had a weak start.my bad. the 86 has plenty of power, but he didn't use any of it. no matter what he was doing, that start was weak. prolly coulda launched faster if he just dropped it like the civvy did.

You underestimate the driving skill of DK, have you any idea the kind of power his 86's engine has. Read the replies to the 5th comment.
