tjl7321 is totally correct, the veyron could weigh as much as the ssc and it still wouldn't be as fast, it's all about aero drag, rolling resistance, and peak power.

Weight has very little to do with top speed (in cars). Top speed is almost entirely determined by aerodynamic drag and power; a balance between the force of air pushing against you and the force of the engine pushing you forewards.

the veyron weighs nearly 4800 pounds and can do the speed it does amazing, the rumor is Bugatti is making a car thats going to destroy speed records and you know im talking touching 300mph

SSC is a nice car but it doesnt sound good imhoits loud thats allthe sound of other high-price sport cars (especially Porsche i i think) is way better.Even a Viper sounds better than this car
