I would know almost instantly this guy was either a jokester or WAY off the reservation.

yep, get the movie, it's amazing, they wondered how far they could get in their presentations before being kicked out... presentations about how third world labor is better than slavery and basically the same thing... but better! But... they don't get kicked out, they don't get discovered, the audience is taking notes!

I want to add, they did not think their original WTO site would be mistake for the real thing, it was a satirical site. It's just that the WTO is it's own parody so it's hard to tell and people DON'T READ the fine print or even the bold print.People were contacting them as though they were the real WTO without any attempt really to draw that. It's come a long way now, though.

that's exactly the point... there was a similar event regarding Katrina, I forget the company but I think they played Exxon promising a fund to help out... ok, I forget the details, but basically they said a bunch of reasonable things that industry could really and should really do, then force the companies to say, "hey, we're not going to do that!!!"This is activism from the 30'th century. Comedy assault. To think pieing the powerful has grown to this (mol). Creative activism rocks.

Their movie suggests they make mock websites very similar to the corporations and are mistakenly asked to send a representative.

I would have loved to hear the response from the actual Dow representative. Something like, "No, you've got it all wrong. We still don't want to take credit for our disaster and we won't be offering our victims any type of compensation. We appologize to our share holders for the mix-up and still offer a big tough luck to the people of Bhopal. Can you belive what those horrible Yes Men said about us?!"
