Just take out the old harddrive.. and lay it on a table.. UNDER the new one.. And then take a hammer... and knock on the upper (the old harddrive) harddrive until all files have fallen into the new one..

does it say 400gb when you go on system setup?because i've heard the most they can read is 250, just asking because i was thinking about upgrading mine in january to 500gb
