it's not that pause that's only hard, but you have to press forward before the super starts. So you pretty much have to guess/predict when your opponent is about to perform the super to start the first parry.You could tell Daigo was randomly pressing forward trying to predict justin. He guessed right.

The timing to parry Chun li's super has a pause in it that's why some people find it hard to do.Not only that but to do it in the heat of the moment is just amazing. To counter with a super just puts the cherry on top.As a Ken user myself I must admit that Daigo is very good.
