Actually Rufus Wainright (sp) sang the Shrek version, the lyrics are the same but I like the singer for Shrek much better.

I think main thing bout YT is that people can discover music that they would never have found, no matter who is singing, if it keeps the older songs alive for new people to hear thats the best. For me Cohen singing this, and Suzanne, was amazing to others, not so others, new singers and bands cover them ONLY because they were brilliant to begin with. Gratz to all who have found Cohen,Cale,Velvet and Lou but we found them first time round , hope you enjoy all of it cos its superb music!

Oh, boy i wonder if any of these qote-unqote morons even know about John Cale and the velvet underground or his relationship with Andy warhol and the pop culture freaks that used to hang out at the factory or max's Kansas city. Mind boggling to think that Leonard Cohen and Lou Reed play second fiddle to a cartoon, but than again I guess these new audiences are keeping history alive and the music that we love in modern site. Morons perhaps, but Morons that in essence are working for us. lol
