The difference between the w16 and the v8 is the powerband. This vehicle may acheive over 1100hp but most of that is seen only in the last 1k rpm. Which is good otherwhise it would just roast the tires. The one thing that needs to be realized here is the ssc was built to do only 1 thing and that was to acheive a faster speed than the veyron. The Veyron does 253 with no sacrafice in drivability. Now that's an achievement.

RvRCoupe is right, the veryron is the most amazing car ever built the engine is beutifuly crafted the interior is like a millionares living room the ride quality is supreme and it may not have the fastest top speed in the world but it has the fastest acceleration 0-62mph in 2.5 seconds. Also the aero looks awfull and seems like the americans have just scrambled to put something together just to beat the europeans it just seems sad and is it me or are the lights on the aero from a ford focus?

if you think this is "better" than a veyron than please don't EVER say you know anything about cars ever again, you lose that privelage! the veyron walks all over this, numbers and figures mean fuck all, the veyron is a beautifully crafted and engineered machine with FAR more luxuries that this "american" copy. did u guys really think you'd beat the italians and germans at making a good car? haha veyron is concord, this is trash. looks AWFUL!.. America, STOP TRYING TO BE BETTER YOUR JUST NOT!

i know the owner of SSC he said he pulled 1 car lenghth EACH GEAR on the Veyron.

If you had to chose an american supercar i'd take a '08 Dodge Viper SRT10 Roadster or a Saleen S7 Twin Turbo over this.

this video is pointles all un offical talks, emission? he claimed no figures just words, i wanna hear the real figures not just some bullshit, if the car cannot achcieve the veryron speed within a certain distance it is not as fast as the veryron, you dont need a stretch of road long enough, you need a FASTER car for the same stretch of road
