I used to be a huge Stargate fan. Then I watched BSG. I find myself unable to watch regular scifi shows anymore, BSG just blows it all away. The show elevates SF television drama into a proper art form. I cannot recommend it enough.

The story is long, hard, exciting, and can be boring at times.. but I think that's what makes it so great. I love how far the show has come. It's been one rough ride but I believe it was well worth it and I believe it's well worth you watching. Just start from the beginning :) and go slow.

I do recommend this show. Yes at times it can be sappy and drama filled..but it's acting off of human emotions..which is what makes it so great..you can relate to at least one of the characters in the show or many of them at one time...in my opinion I think the show is absolutely genius...and this is the first Sci Fi show I've ever seen..My mom and Husband are sci fi freaks..I saw them watching this..I sat in and HAD to watch from the begining...

ok, i'm a "Stargate" kind of guy. i've been under the impression that BsG is a bit overrated, doesn't really bring anything special to the table, and that the show is totally based on sappy drama-bs, and thus very annoying. this was my conclusion after watching 15 minutes of it one day..however..can someone convince me otherwise? its possible i haven't given it much of a chance. does anyone recommend this show? or not? and why? thanks lol

pause at 0:40 What do you you call that radar screen behind the man talking...i saw something like that on the stargate movie and the one from stargate could make indication sounds...can you tell me what kind of radar that is?

the new battlestar galactica is candidate to be the worst show ever, man what a crap, there must be some law that forbids or at least penalize what they do with the original show from the 70's, The new battlestar galactica sucks!
