I believe the exact spelling is Lorena Yácono (in "Argentinean" the 'y' is pronounced /zh/ as in Asian). But I am not sure the accent aigu should really be there.

Malena is right, the girl is NOT Johana Copes. Her name is Lorena Yacono, a real beauty, and no mean "milonguera". However JCCopes and his daughter did perform and teach together extensively over years. You can find on the net interesting comments by both of them on the tricky and not so tricky aspects of the limited expressive palette of the father-daughter tango "partnership".

Father/Daughter dancing tango. I think that's wonderful. Good quality time. There's a different kind of emotional connection between them and the music, kind of like a teacher student type thing. Like he's challenging her to keep up. It's all love though.Their flow with the music is so on point. Nice. |
