three weeks?! are you already at the presto con fuoco or are you just tackling it first? ive been working on the whole thing start to finish for about 4 months now and im at the forte section w/ all the octaves yeah, really hard

About three weeks, I'm currently working on the Presto con fuoco section and it's definitely getting the best of me. I don't know how Horowitz can play it so light and clean, and with flat fingers!

yeah, I'm doing the exact same thing. I'll look at the score and think, "but this isn't how Horowitz played it" and change it.
