i agree with you on bringing back the inline 6, but i think the problem was under hood space and weight distibuion with the R35 chassis. Although ill give it that the VR38DETT is a great engine but it sounds terrible with an aftermarket exhaust. I think i higher displacing RB would have been a better choice like a RB38DETT or somthing along those lines. And i dont extactly like the R35 looks too much like a 350z

That's interesting, I was not aware that Nissan made such an engine for the AUS market... A properly made RB30DETT should have been made from the RB26DETT and fitted into an R35... but the R35 chassis itself is a far-cry from the R34.

Nissan infact did make a RB30, proper name being RB30ET. It was a single cam fuel injected single turbo. Here in australia we recived both a N/A version and a turbocharged version in a localy produced 4 door sedan (Holden VL commodore)from 1986 till 1988 i belive.

A NISSAN made RB30? or was it a tuner made? Nissan made on the Skyline the RB20, RB25 and RB26... never heard that Nissan MADE an RB30... Tuners, yeah i've heard they'd increase displacement, but not the factory.

I dont know what country you guys are in, but here we have rb30's. RB30DET, single turbo.

i realized what you said after the fact. you are right. supras are only good on a dyno or in a a drag race.but they were already onto making the GT-R r35 so no point in the rb30.

read carefully... i said "At best, Nissan should have made an RB30DETT... not a V6-TT.." I never said Nissan made it... I said they SHOULD have made it... learn to read, then reply.Besides that, Supras, in my opinion, are Dyno Queens.
