look uneducated piece of shit was a bit far on my behalf, but it really gets to me when people cant respect the time and effort it takes to truly master an instrument. Its a lifelong commitment which i will openly say that i tried and failed. My argument was more directed to the fact that "shredding" is to show off, its not to show off its to demonstrate years of hard work and dedication to something you love, would there be any point spending the time if their was no one to share it with, no.

As for uneducated about music, I'm very far from it, and I have credentials to prove it from just about every angle, including the fact I'm a degree student of popular musics.Oh, and I never mentioned lyrics either. I didn't say a thing about JP, the comment was addressed to the idea that showing off is the way to be a good musician. Any moron can tell that isn't the case. The vast majority of this song isn't showing off at all now is it? And its a good song, with a wide possible audience. Compare that to anything Rusty Cooley has ever written and the point should become clear. You do nothing but shred, you appeal to nobody but guitarists. I respect shredders, but they'll never blow me away like a good song
