WTF. Comparing these two is laughable. I have VX220 and a mate of mine has one of those smarts. They are a million miles away. My car is an out and out sports, trackday car. There is no chance in hell he could keep up with me on a country road if i put my foot down.

The softop only takes 3 seconds to clip on each side, it's like one of the most simple manual roofs, yet he takes about 5 years!

That also being YOUR opinion :-)I'm not buying a "sports car" for comfort, clear, but as I drive it daily, I don't need to break my back getting in/out as in the Elise/Speedster. Concerning driving, they both have understeer (light front end). I don't think you have been driving a Brabus? The flappy peddal gear box is really nice to drive, although a bit slow (then again not slower then shifting manually). What do you drive now then? A+

In your opinion obviously.. but if your buying a 'sports car' for comfort, your missing the point.Most agree, as far as cornering goes, the elise chassis has it sorted.I'd probably be willing to try one of the bonkers bike engined smarts, but nah.. the smart running gear just doesn't do it for me.I like the smart, for low speed thrills it's fine, but for seriously performance and fun.. I need something better.

Tru, but only concerning 0-60m/ph, when talking daily driving comfort and cornering/slalom the Brabus is better/faster (driven them both ;-)
