Thats a joke right? If so, stop reading here.Chris just dumped a ton of money on a solo project which he is in full swing with now. He said hes tired of trying to blend in with other bands, as he previously tried to do in soundgarden and audioslave. Why would you think he would join?

You call Slipknot grunge?Face it, grunge is just about in the ground, remembered from past radio hits. Chris Cornell of Soundgarden has changed his writing style. Layne Staley is dead. Kurt Cobain became an icon posthumously.The entire movement has been kept alive from Stone Temple Pilots reuniting, Mark Lanegan mastering his voice, and Pearl Jam putting out more albums.Unless you want to count Puddle of Mudd and Candlebox, who have been linked to grunge before . . .
