http://www.edmunds.com/insidel... know you want the numbers and we're not going to waste your time. Neither is Nissan. Its 2009 GT-R hits 60 mph in 3.3 seconds, quicker than the last Dodge Viper, Corvette Z06 and Porsche 911 Turbo we tested. Keep your foot pinned, and after another tap on the upshift paddle it will clear the quarter-mile in 11.6 seconds at more than 120 mph.

AWD does vastly improve drivability, however. Not performance. It might help you but not that much. Maybe one or two seconds in a long track. 470PS RX-7's have beat 750hp R34's in Tsukuba time attacks.

And I can reference you to the GM engineers. Look it up. They did not use the LS7 because its walls are too thin. Doesn't mean it can't make 100 more hp, but that it about it. It would require heavy modifying before you can do any more. Again, this is from GM's own engineers, go look it up. They did not use the LS7 for reliability purposes.AWD doesn't help a car perform that much better. You should know this by now. In track performance, AWD has not been known to VASTLY improve times.

Ummm, because that has nothing to do with displacement. That's all about power to weight ratio, which is something else the GTR sucks in. It's a big heavy boat, and the ONLY reason it handles decently is the AWD. The car is a huge heavy land yacht and the tranny is prone to breaking under launch control.

This makes very little sense, as the LS7 is shown to make much more horsepower with simple add ons such as intake, exhaust, headers, cams, etc. With these easy bolt ons, several Z06's are pushing almost 600 hp and above on the stock block, so how does the LS7 not have room for more potential again? Fel free to look up the many modded Z06 dynos on Youtube for reference.

Wow, thankfully, you're not representative of the entire Australian populace. Many of rest are thankfully more intelligent and experienced as to the rest of the world than you obviously.

Not all Americans are rednecks. Some of us (not me, mind you) are at the forefront in all sorts of technology that is currently benefiting the world.

And also... if anyone cares to look at the MPG variance between the Z06 and GTR in magazine comparisons, they will usually find a -/+ 1 mpg difference in the overall averages. They all average to about 16 or 17 mpg.

A stock Z06 beats the GTR in straightline performance, that's it. Not for what truly matters in the eyes of most sports car enthusiasts, which is at the track. Funny how you like to mock turbo'd engines. The Z06's LS7 is a bored out 6.0 liter engine that will not take much more horsepower than it already has. That's why GM didn't use it for the ZR1. Too much displacement for it's own good... "walls are too thin". Better off staying at 6.2L with forced induction. This is from GM's engineers.
