Anyone who actually believes that this puke is a soldier is extremly flawed in their logic. As a relative of several real soldiers with the Canadian Forces I absolutely believe that this terrorist should have died of lead poison on the battlefield. However the real soldiers would not let that happen, even though omar and his family of terrorists murdered soldiers, the army medic treated him, showing some compassion-something terrorists don't understand.Send him to Texas and put a needle in him.

The designers of the Geneva Convention would be appalled that there would even be a debate as to whether it covered the treatment of a fifteen-year old boy, and that it is acceptable to treat him worse than those adult men who are covered.

If he is not considered a soldier he is covered under UN Security Council Resolution 1612, of which the US is a signatory, covering the treatment of child combatants engaged in armed conflict. If the US government ignores the agreement it signed, then he is an enemy combatant and covered by the Geneva Convention, or is simply a criminal. Either way his current treatment is illegal under both US law and every civilized law pertaining to conflict in the world. |
