An Athlon XP 2400 should handle 6 cars, single player ("Solo") just fine. The game is still in development: I try to integrate as many player-requested changes/features as I have time. Check out the H.264 video on my website as well as the 1.04 beta/demo. The next release is RSN.

Cool! Thanks for the info man. I only have a Athlon XP 2400. Would you think that's sufficient for a 6 car race? :D I really don't race online, prefer single player does this game offer single player?

This example video is hard to encode at low bit rates, thus the blocky graphics here. When run on a PC, the graphics are simple but sharp. The road surfaces are curved, with no polygons visible. At racing speed, enough visual detail is available to assist with setting up for each turn.

Next release is racing only.

For a 12 car online race, a 2.8-P4/1.7-Centrino class CPU and GF2-class GPU. For a 64-car online race, 3.2-P4, GF6600 or better. The next release is racing only (no flying/guns), more car set up options (all real-time, interactive), an online rule system, and improved driving physics. In addition to sports/racing cars, an F1-style car will also be available.

The surfaces are all curves: bicubic 3D patches, tessellated in real-time, with physics computed directly on the curved patch surfaces. Displacement mapping is used to add bumps where needed.

Looks exciting to play. What's the minimum CPU requirement?
indiegamesdude (May 2, 2007 at 10:35 pm)
And..If I´m not wrong, the physics are on-line and the surfaces are completely curved. Awesome.
indiegamesdude (May 2, 2007 at 10:32 pm)
But the technology doesnt.. He racing in a Nurbs modelled track, or maybe even a real time nurbs algorithm... thats not easy.

the graphics sucks
